Jordan Gheen

Musician / Composition / Recording (USA)

A multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, audio engineer, videographer and educator currently living in Denton, Texas, Gheen spent his early years studying jazz at both Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and the University of North Texas. He has now been working as a professional musician for 15 years on piano, synth, bass, guitar, and trumpet. The quest for developing his unique voice has led him to explore, assimilate, and perform various contemporary musics such as modern jazz, progressive rock, and electronica. This journey has also created an obsession for sound design that has helped to characterise his multi-dimensional approach to music.

In addition to his gigs as a working musician, Gheen also adventures into original music with many different creative projects. He leads (and writes music for) a jazz-fusion group Sky Window, a groove-focused quintet The Night Above Us, a 19-piece progressive jazz orchestra Energy Collective, and a math-rock band Terra Collective. When not performing, Gheen can be found in his home studio recording, producing, video-editing, and exploring soundscapes via the vast array of technology in his sonic arsenal.
